An Italy Destination Wedding at La Foce, Tuscany

There are venues that photograph beautifully, and then there are venues that change how a wedding feels from the moment you arrive.La Foce is the second.

Set in the Val d'Orcia in southern Tuscany, the estate is one of the most iconic Italy destination wedding settings we have had the privilege of working in. The formal Italian garden, framed by towering cypress trees and centuries-old stone architecture, holds a ceremony in a way that very few places can. When Claudia walked through the garden toward Hank, her cathedral veil trailing behind her on the grass, it was one of those frames that stays with you.

La Foce, Tuscany: One of Italy's Great Wedding Venues

La Foce is not a venue that needs much introduction among couples planning a luxury Tuscany wedding. The gardens have been photographed and written about for decades, and yet nothing quite prepares you for being inside them on a wedding day. The landscape of Val d'Orcia stretches out beyond the hedgerows, the light shifts slowly across the stone, and the whole space has a stillness that makes every moment feel significant.

The ceremony was set against a baroque fountain adorned with exquisite white florals byFluida Design, allowing the historic setting to shine. Claudia wore a timeless Monique Lhuillier lace gown, with hair and makeup by Alessandro Mancino Studios, and the overall effect was one of complete harmony with the garden around her.

A Wedding Weekend Built Around Meaning

What made Claudia and Hank's Italy destination wedding particularly moving was how much of themselves they put into it. The ceremony included both a Korean bowing ceremony and the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass, bringing together two families, two cultures, and a room full of people who had traveled from around the world to be there. Those moments drew tears from nearly every person in attendance.

For the cocktail hour, Claudia changed into a lavender Monique Lhuillier dress that harmonised beautifully with the garden's natural palette as the afternoon light began to soften. The reception that followed was one of the most joyful evenings we have spent at a Tuscany wedding. Long tables set with green toile linens, vibrant florals spilling across custom table settings, and a canopy of twinkling lights overhead created something that felt both considered and completely alive. As the evening deepened, guests moved to an after-party with disco balls, fireworks, and live music that carried the celebration long into the night.

Timeless Wedding Photography At La Foce

La Foce gives you extraordinary light from morning through to golden hour, and a garden that frames portraits without any effort on our part. But what we remember most from Claudia and Hank's day is not the setting. It is the way people looked at each other throughout it.

If you are considering an Italy destination wedding and looking for photography that captures the full depth of a day like this, we would love to hear from you. Take a look at ourdestination wedding portfolio to see more of our work across Italy and beyond.
